We have been doing some water couler painting and learining some new techniques by using quizzlet. It has been teaching us all the importent techniques in water painting. Water couler is when you do a dilution. A dilution is wehen yo had water into paint to thin it We have done some learning how to make flowers. Here is some of my art pecies

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog.

Today we are doing a blog about the holidays. We have 6 letters that all have a meaning behind it.

For a soical activity I played some video games with my freinds from my older schools and pepole and my current one. For the phsysical one I decided I would do lot of football practice with my football goal at home and worked on my stamina. In a Intellectual stand point I was working on some maths, practiceing some of my time tables. Now the best of all my Likes, I liked out of all the holidays staying in bed till luch. Even thogh is was not much it made my holidays. Emotioanly I felt very happy for most the holidays but at some points I felt quite sick. In being Successful In three days I did 69% of the Spider-Man video game.

Out of lockdown

I am going to talk about what I have done since lockdown was over. I have had a really bad injury when I was playing HELD. I got a knee to my leg which made me only just be able to get home.

Empty pot

Today I will be talking about the story, The Empty Pot. Its a story about honesty. There is a main person thats name was Ping. He was a boy who loved to plant flowes. There was a old emporor who was ready to pick the next emperor. He did a contest where you had to grow the best flower but the seeds where cooked which means they wont grow. Ping came with a empty pot when everyone else came with beautiful big flowers. But he stilll won because he was the only true one.

HAND ON FIRE!!!!

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog.

Today we lit our hands on fire. I got picked to be first so I got a little bit but we had to first get some safety glasses second then we wet from our hand to our elbow then got any amount of bubbles we wanted and then we got set on fire after we went into the green zone. 

I think it happens because the bubbles have gas held in it and the he had made it go up in flames.

Logo Done!!

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog.

We have been doing lino block art with ink it has taken many failed attempts. But my love for my logo kept going so I put it on a shoe as well.

It printed decently. Just didn't work it the bottom left that well. The ink is pretty even with great distribution near the eye and the front of the shoe. All of the lines are clear. I used a symbol and word mark combination. It doesn't really show anything about me besides my name scrambled and my love for shoes. the negative and positive clash very well I just didn't use my brain for one of my lines.

Coding

Hello everyone welcome to my blog.

Recently we have been doing some coding. I have been spicily looked at python which is a very interesting coding type I did a game called Code Combat. Its on Hour of code there is many games on it for beginner coders and experts it is a nice way to start a coding journey. 

I thought coding would be super hard but it was a lot less scary then expended. With Hour of code it slowly works you threw all the difficulty's if you want to get into coding but your nervous use Hour of code. I have a game in progress but its not fully ready.

Hornby 2050

Hello everyone welcome to my blog.

We have been looking at Hornby 2050 and what can make it a better place at that time. 

We are making a blender that's self-powered so in the future years there is less chance of dehydration in the human population. The main problem is if there is any form of power/electrical outages. We have been seeing people in Africa struggling for a form of liquid and all they need is a tree that has some fruit.

The blender is used by pumping air into the blender with a small pump we install it goes threw a small bit of tubing that makes the blades spin. We will need some wood, a bit of tubing, metal, a pump and some plastic, to make the full sized blender. Here is a 3D design

Logo Design

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog.

Recently in art class we have been making our own personal logo design. Its a combination logo which has words and a symbol, I decided to do the letters U K L E which is my name scrambled.

It's a shoe that is half black and half white there is a bit of fabric that you put U K L E on the main logo for my designing is a eye that has a line on the bottom and a small 19 on the sole. I feel the logo connects to me because how much I talk about shoes a lot. I'm starting to save up to get my own air Jordan 1's

Microscopes

Today we have learnt about microscopes. We made a slide it, is a small thin thing that you put under a microscope. We did a onion epidermis it is one layer of cell thick and then stained it with iodine then put it on the slide. Then we saw cells on the microscope we even saw some things moving.

INDICATORS

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog.

Recently we have been learning about acid and alkali. It was a scarce topic for me but I gave it a go. 

You may be wondering whats a acid, an acid is a substance that can chemically react.

You also may ask yourself whats a alkali. It’s a slippery and soapy thing found in ashes of fire. When blue litmus has acid in it, it becomes red. When you put alkaloid on red litmus it becomes blue. 

The way we used these together to make it look awesome is an indicator. Indicators are substances that change colour when they are added to acidic or alkaline solutions. Litmus, phenolphthalein, and methyl orange are all indicators that are commonly used in the laboratory.

The experiment is when you get multiple liquids and and they are more acid or alkali.

We did tea which changed quite a bit i think the tea is on the right and in the middle is acid or alkali.  

  

And for this one its cranberry juice and the left on was alkali and the one on the right acid and the middle just cranberry juice. 

And this one is curry powder I believe that the acid had no effect but the alkali was quite a change.

Gummy Bear Osmosis

Hello everyone welcome to my blog.

We have been doing a new practical in science about gummy bears. We put gummy bears in salt water, normal water and sugar water. We left the gummy bears in the petri dish we had for 24 hours. There were 8 gummy bears all the same colours. Here is what I wrote on this topic.

Aim: To demonstrate osmosis

Hypothesis: for the water I think that the gummy bears will stay the same. For salt I think that they will start to dissolve because the salt and sweet of the gummy bear will clash so I think it will shrink. I think that the gummy bear will react nicely with the gummy bear by making it bigger 

Results: All the gummy bears grew and they could have grown more without a lid. They also lost quite a bit of colour. I think it happened because the water must have made the gummy bear bigger because the gummy bear has water in it and you put water in z made it grow. They were quite fragile and very mushy. The colours were quite faded

Room 14

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog.

I have made a horror story about "room 14" it was very fun to make it was quite a a good time making this there is 600+ words in it hope you enjoy it.

Marcus had always wondered why no one ever went to room 14. Now he knew  There was a massacre in 1993. There was a man who came to the school as a clown at exactly 10:23. He was a crazy man. The kids were so happy to go to morning tea that when they saw the clown, they were not skeptical at all. They got so excited but then the clown went into the class and they looked at the teacher and he looked very confused. The clown came in and locked the door. The teacher said “What are you doing here?”. The clown smiled and laughed in a very crazy way. The teacher rushed at the clown but with him hardly moving, the clown put him on the ground and he was unconscious. The kids went to the back of the room and huddled in fear where the clown was just smiling in a crazy way. A kid latched onto a pipe in the corner of the room. The clown grabbed him and locked him in a cupboard and he yelled out “WHO’S NEXT?!!! HAHAHAHAHA”. One by one he made the kids tremble until there was one left. He said to the boy, “I’m going to have fun with you!” He locked the little boy in a small room in the building some say his spirit still lays there and every time at 10:23 they say he comes out the small room and any kid he can see he puts in there with him and says “Now I have a friend.”

I had a feeling this was just a rumor so me and my friend Dion went in the room at 10 O'clock. We banged on the door where the boy apparently was. We did not care, we knew it was not real. Until Dion started to get scared I started calling him a chicken then it struck 10:23. 

The boy came out of the small room and smiled and said which one am I going to take first he antagonized the boys banging right next to them saying “Do you like that?” He showed him all the scars and what the clown did to him. Then he played a horrible game of would you rather made us turn on each other and pick who went in the small room with the boy. I pushed Dion away from me and he looked at me and said “Fine I can’t deal with the guilt, but I guess you can screw you Marcus.” 

I felt bad yet good about myself. I thought, do I really deserve to live? Soon I realised how bad of a person I was. I did that to my best friend. I wonder if I can get him back. I came back at 2am and snuck through the school and came to room 14. I took a deep breath in and walked in. I was as careful as possible. I go up to the door and try to open the door putting all my strength into opening it and I open it and see Dion unconscious. I grab him and bring him to the hospital. I told them what happened and they thought I was crazy. Until Dion gets up and climbs on the roof and his head starts to spin. The doctor injected him with a needle and he passed out.

They were safe or were they?????

Operation Wheels

Hello everyone welcome to my blog post.

I have been doing a story about a wheel invention. For hur 2. First we put it in our work books and Mr White edited it and gave us feedback. It was a very nice way to improve my handwriting and many other aspects. It took about 2 weeks to do this hope you like it! Here it is

The year is 2300 I have made a new invention. I have called it Prostrat. It’s an electronic wheel that produces 500,000 volts. It powers a whole country in a matter of seconds.

Oh I was so obsessed with my invention that I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Professor Van Herro. I have been working on this for 25 years. It took many failed attempts but I finally did it. 

This if I sold this could be worth billions of dollars! But I still need to hide how I do it because if it gets out to the public they could take it and I would be done for. Meanwhile in the SOS (Scientist of society). “Hello I am the owner of the SOS we have heard from an outside source that someone has made an electronic wheel. 

 The following account is from the perspective of a third person (a newspaper reporter):

Van Herro was on his way to the super store to get some dinner when he saw that someone was looking at him with a mysterious look. Van Herro was sceptical of this man but he was really hungry. He got some food then started going home and he saw the same man. He yelled at him and said “WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM!” The man pulled out a gun and so did Van Herro they had a Mexican standoff. They started to slowly move back and then Van Herro fired a shot then bolted away.

He got home and realised that he needed to be careful and move away. He booked a flight for Uruguay the date 17th of march the flight is on the 23’d. He goes till the 22nd without going outside. He had to get some bread. He went to the supermarket to get it much to his surprise nobody tried to kill him. He woke up and packed the small wheel inside his bag and was going to sell it to Uruguay. He had plans to meet the president. 

He got to the airport and hopped on the plane. He was sitting on the plane for 12 hours. But he finally got there. He met up with the president or so he thought…

Safety Rules

Skittle Observation

Hello everyone welcome to my blog.

I will be telling you about my skittle observation. This was second experiment of many to come. It was when you put skittles in hot water and the colours spreed out. I enjoys doing this experiment it was a blast to do here is a picture(its not my picture)

I also did a doc with the things that I saw happen. Here is what I wrote 

Skittle Observations

Instructions: 

 ¾ fill a petri dish with water. 

Carefully place 4 differently coloured skittles evenly spaced around the outside of the petri dish.

Observations

What things did you notice?  Can you make five observations?

  The colours did not overlap 

   They needed 3-5 seconds to start spreading the colours 

  On the bottom of the skittles there was a little bit of colour left in the middle.

  As soon as you pick it up the colours overlap and blend 

  it gave a nice smell 

Did anything surprise you?  What weren’t you expecting to observe?

Bunsen flames

 Hello everyone welcome to my blog.

We have been doing some science recently done some temperature studies. Our aim is to investigate which Bunsen burner flame heats water most quickly. We had 5 minutes with the Bunsen burner on then we had to checked temperature. I was in a group with my mate Tobey we did not have time to do the safety flame so we went straight to the blue flame. There is 2 averages in the class with the safety and blue flames. The average for the safety flame was a 28'c and the blue flame was 34'c. Here is my results in a table sadly I did not to the safety flame

We also had some questions to answer                                                                                                              Why do we need to make the test fair? So we can the best average possible                                                      What do we need to do to make the test fair? Start off on the same degree and on the same flame
